    1. “Easier”? I’m not sure about that. A typical end-user can maintain their computer regarding software issues fairly easily, but what about a destroyed LCD screen on a notebook?

      Then comes the amount of time required. An attorney who bills at 200+ per hour would be foolish to repair their own computer, when they could be making money.

      Computer repair and service technicians are trained, experienced, and generally supported through partnerships with manufacturers. Try obtaining a motherboard for your Samsung hardened notebook without being a partner with Samsung. It will be difficult and likely expensive.

      I’m not saying to not attempt repairs yourself, not at all. Go for it! Incidentally, a large percentage of computers we repair were failed attempts by someone trying to save money.
