John M. Hoyt - CEO, Senior Systems Engineer

John brings over 25 years of real-world computer experience, encompassing Unix, Linux, *BSD, Amiga, Sun Solaris, Mac, and Microsoft  operating systems. He has extensive network, security and server knowledge.  John's articles have been published in Amiga World, PC Computing, Nuts & Volts and various trade journals. John's areas of expertise include spam abatement, email solutions and the uncanny ability to fix almost anything. John has been a professional musician, playing guitar/bass for the better part of his life. John's wife Pamela and two children, Megan and Brett are his focal point outside of Homeland Secure IT, second only to his relationship with Christ.

Pamela M. Hoyt - CFO

 

Pamela, a Greenville native, has worked in the financial industry for many years with her family’s business, McAbee’s Custom Carpet, handling all aspects of accounting.  Having a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson in Industrial Management with a minor in Computer Information Systems, Pamela also worked for years with a local Employee Benefits firm administering Benefit Plans for area businesses.  As if keeping up with the busy lives of two wonderful teenagers is not enough, she enjoys getting involved in many hobbies with her husband, John, with music, amateur radio, and cooking, to name a few!

Scott Chitwood - Systems Engineer

 

Scott has almost 20 years experience in a wide variety of computer areas, including DOS, Windows (3.1 through Windows 7), MS Server 2003, Server 2008, Small Business Server, OS/2 and Linux operating systems. Other skills include CAD operation, software emersion and custom scripting. He also has attended classes for A+, Novell and holds degress outside of IT. Scott spends most of his personal time with his wife Melanie and children; Chase, Maddie & baby Abigail.

Greg Varner - Network Engineer

 

Greg comes from Asheboro, NC where he began gaining experience in the office equipment industry by working as a copy center manager. He has worked in all aspects of the industry including supply chain, dispatch, delivery and install, inventory control, call center, and printing. At his previous employer, an Upstate business machines company, he used his variety of experience not only to service color and black and white copiers, but also to serve as a systems engineer assisting with network and connectivity installs, troubleshooting and repair. Greg has one daughter, Lillie. Besides loving to play with his daughter, Greg also enjoys XBOX, computers, music and NASCAR.
